Live topology
Every speaker, every wired link, every SonosNet mesh hop — refreshed each poll. Drag nodes to match your floor plan and the layout sticks per orientation.
For iPhone and iPad
See your Sonos network the way it really is — live, layered, and alive with data.
What you see
SonoStats reads the same status endpoints the official Sonos app does — and turns them into a live, navigable picture of how your speakers are actually talking to each other.
Every speaker, every wired link, every SonosNet mesh hop — refreshed each poll. Drag nodes to match your floor plan and the layout sticks per orientation.
Per-device Mbps deltas computed between snapshots. Edge thickness scales with live audio bandwidth — you can literally watch the music flow.
Save every Sonos household you visit and switch between them in a tap. SSID-aware auto-pick: walk through the door and you're connected.
Home theatre, decoded
The soundbar coordinator sits at the centre. Surrounds, sub, and rears render in their real spatial positions with bright red bond edges. When a satellite drops out mid-rebond, SonoStats catches it from the coordinator's channel map — your halo stays whole even when Sonos's snapshot wobbles.
HDMI eARC sources surface as a dedicated TV node with the actual Dolby format decoded from the raw audio code.
Playback groups too
A mint pip lights every speaker currently delivering audio — coordinator and follower alike. Thin dashed mint lines trace the playback group, distinct from the physical bond. Party-group your kitchen for the morning radio and you'll see it light up across the canvas.
The Now Playing pill stays on the coordinator with full track and source metadata, including Dolby format on HDMI.
Travel-aware
SonoStats remembers every Sonos household you visit — up to five — and recognises which one you're on by Wi-Fi name. Walk through the door, open the app, and your floor plan, your saved layouts, and your live throughput are already on screen.
Built-in diagnostic snapshots dump the raw XML from a speaker on demand, so when something does misbehave you have the evidence to show for it.
Privacy
SonoStats is built so the answer to "what does it send?" is "nothing."
Every speaker snapshot, every layout you drag, every saved household, every diagnostic log line — written to local storage on your iPhone or iPad. None of it is uploaded, synced, or backed up to any server we control.
Only your own Sonos speakers, on your local Wi-Fi. SonoStats reads the same diagnostic endpoints the official Sonos app uses to render the current household state. We do not phone home, embed analytics, or contact any service outside your LAN.
iOS requires Location When-In-Use permission to read the Wi-Fi network name. SonoStats uses that name to recognise which Sonos household you're on when you walk between locations. We never read or record your physical coordinates.
There is no sign-up, no user account, and no analytics framework in the app. We do not link to advertisers, identifiers, or third-party data brokers. The diagnostic log only leaves your device if you explicitly tap Share.
